On October 26, 2024, Seaworthy Collective held its 5th Cohort Startup Showcase at Miami’s Frost Science Museum, drawing over 100 enthusiastic supporters from the community! The event received incredible feedback, with many calling it the best showcase yet. Thanks to the dedication of our community and partners—including Ocean Exchange, which helped keep the momentum going all week—this event was a true success.
Celebrating Innovation and Community Support
The evening spotlighted 7 remarkable startups from Seaworthy’s fifth cohort, each presenting innovative ocean and climate impact solutions in BlueTech. Over 12 weeks, these founders refined their work through Seaworthy’s guidance—all at no cost, thanks to the support of Salesforce and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Growth Accelerator Fund Competition. We also extend our thanks to Frost Science, Accountable Impact, Florida for Good Miami, and Ballyhoo Media for helping make this showcase possible.
Millicent “Milly” Pitts, CEO of Ocean Exchange, opened the night with an inspiring keynote on the growing opportunities within BlueTech and Sustainable Ocean Initiatives. We also appreciated the presence of Dr. Doug Roberts, President and CEO of Frost Science, who joined us for a private reception.
