Miami, FL – October 7, 2021 – Seaworthy Collective (SC), a Miami-based BlueTech startup community and venture studio empowering current and aspiring entrepreneurs in regenerative ocean and climate impact, announces its Inaugural Cohort Startup Showcase, which will be held at the Frost Science Museum on October 27, 2021.

After three months of catalyzing traction and collaboration through Seaworthy Collective’s inaugural venture studio, the 10 startups (including 2 co-created startups) will present their pitches on how they’ll drive regenerative ocean and climate impact while generating a return on investment.

Seaworthy Collective’s inaugural cohort addresses solutions for reversing climate change, regenerative sources of seafood, coastal resilience, and detecting and removing pollution. Together, these solutions drive the development of regenerative systems and local-scale blue economies.

“We’re thrilled for these startups to trailblaze for many more to come growing MiamiTech’s ClimateTech and BlueTech ecosystems while making South Florida a BlueTech hub,” said Daniel Kleinman, Seaworthy Collective’s Founder and CEO.

Seaworthy Collective is expecting this to be their largest hybrid event of the year.

About
Seaworthy Collective, created in 2020 in Miami, Florida, is a BlueTech startup community and venture studio driving regenerative ocean and climate impact through social and economic impact. Our non-profit social impact arm builds and educates our community, making ocean innovation accessible, inclusive, and interdisciplinary, starting with our Sea Change Makers Series. Our for-profit economic impact arm co-creates and crowdsources convergent startups through the first BlueTech venture studio in the United States, catalyzing traction and collaboration by providing access to network connections, talent, and capital. Altogether, we empower current and aspiring entrepreneurs in ocean innovation while developing regenerative systems of solutions and blue economy startup pipelines at scale. This sparks systemic change by overcoming industry silos and social constructs to drive the development of a regenerative blue economy that solves, rather than mitigates, the ocean’s greatest problems.
