San Diego, CA – March 18, 2026Dr. Jennifer Brandon, CEO of Wild Beacon Consulting and an award-winning and nationally recognized expert in microplastic pollution, climate science, and sustainability, will speak at Super South in Atlanta (March 30- April 1), a convening of global leaders focused on advancing circular economy solutions and climate action.

Dr. Brandon will join a panel titled “From Forecasts to Forests: Making Climate Science Matter,” taking place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Georgia Aquarium. The session will explore how extreme weather, climate systems, and ecosystems intersect and how science and storytelling can drive resilience and meaningful action.

Super South brings together innovators, entrepreneurs, academics, policymakers, and civic leaders for a cross-disciplinary program of plenary sessions, breakouts, and an expo showcasing sustainable technologies and forward-thinking solutions. The event serves as a platform for accelerating climate action and fostering collaboration across sectors.

Dr. Brandon will be joined on the panel by Maiya May, host at PBS Weather, Marshall Shepherd, Associate Dean at the University of Georgia, and Dr. Bruce Hungate, Professor at Northern Arizona University and Director of ECOSS.

Dr. Brandon holds a Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography and has spent over a decade working at the intersection of science, sustainability, and strategy. Through Wild Beacon Consulting, she advises philanthropies and organizations on ESG strategies, impact investing, and climate-focused initiatives. She is widely recognized for her work on microplastic pollution and for her ability to translate complex environmental science into accessible, actionable insights.
