We’re excited to share that Dr. Jennifer Brandon, renowned microplastics scientist and sustainability consultant, will be a featured panelist at the 9th NYC Green School Conference, an official Climate Week NYC event taking place September 23–24, 2025.

On Tuesday, September 23, 12:45–1:15 PM, Dr. Brandon will join an interdisciplinary panel, Math to Music – The Art and Science of Greening the Curriculum. This session highlights how sustainability can be seamlessly integrated across all areas of learning—from the precision of math and science to the creative expressions of art and music. Together with her fellow panelists, she will explore innovative pedagogies, indigenous knowledge systems, and STEAM-based strategies that nurture environmental consciousness at every stage of education.

Dr. Brandon brings her unique perspective as a climate impact advisor and internationally recognized microplastics expert, connecting science and storytelling to inspire change. Her voice will help underscore the urgent need to prepare the next generation with the tools, knowledge, and creativity to address the climate and biodiversity crises.
