Betancourt Group is pleased to announce that media accreditation is now open for the 2026 Climate Film Festival, taking place September 18–21 in New York City.

The festival brings together filmmakers, conservationists, artists, advocates, and community leaders to explore the power of storytelling in shaping conversations about our changing climate. Through film screenings, discussions, and special events, the festival demonstrates how creative storytelling can inspire action and build a more resilient future.

The festival continues to grow as a premier gathering at the intersection of film and climate. In 2025, it welcomed more than 3,000 attendees, presented 50 films—including 33 premieres—and launched the Narrative Change Summit, which convened more than 800 senior leaders from NGOs, media organizations, and climate-focused institutions.

This year’s festival will once again feature:

  • World and New York City premieres across documentary, narrative, and experimental film
  • Post-screening conversations with directors, producers, and climate experts
  • The Narrative Change Summit, connecting the film and climate sectors
  • Public programs on sustainable filmmaking, funding, and impact distribution
  • Representatives from more than 1,000 organizations, including major media outlets, NGOs, universities, and government agencies
