San Francisco, CA- March 06, 2025- Bioforcetech,  a San Francisco-based leader in waste transformation and carbon-negative solutions, will be featured in two upcoming episodes of The Climate Restorers, a documentary series highlighting the people and technologies working to restore the planet’s climate and ecosystems.
The documentary series explores how forward-thinking companies are pioneering solutions to combat climate change and features insights from entrepreneurs, global scientists, economists, politicians, social changemakers, justice advocates, and Indigenous wisdom keepers.
Bioforcetech’s inclusion in the third episode, titled The Built Environment, recognizes its cutting-edge work in converting biosolids into OurCarbon, a carbon-negative material with applications in sustainable construction, textiles, and beyond. Bioforcetech is also included in the fourth episode, titled Ecosystem Restoration, which takes a deeper dive into the biochar process. The company’s process eliminates harmful contaminants, including PFAS, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and advancing circular economy solutions.
The fourth episode, titled Ecosystem Restoration, also features Bioforcetech with a focus on the large scale impact processing wastes like biosolids has in reducing landfill emissions, preventing contamination of soils, water, and crops, and helps restore our climate.
“We are honored to be featured in The Climate Restorers and to have the opportunity to share Bioforcetech’s work with a global audience,”  said Dario Prezessi, CEO of Bioforcetech. “This series is shining a light on innovative solutions, and we’re proud to showcase how our technology is transforming waste into carbon-negative materials that can drive real change in industries like construction. It’s exciting to see these ideas gaining momentum, and we hope this documentary inspires more people to rethink what’s possible.”
The episodes explore groundbreaking solutions that are reshaping the built environment, including artificial limestone, organic plant- and algae-based technologies, and rapid advancements in hemp manufacturing and construction. It also highlights rock weathering, limestone substitutes, and architectural techniques inspired by ancient desert communities in Niger that provide natural cooling relief.
Bioforcetech’s pioneering work in sustainable materials is at the forefront of this movement, showcasing how waste-derived biochar, such as OurCarbon, can be transformed into a valuable resource for the construction industry.
“In the world of the future, our societies need to be part of the solutions to ecological overshoot, not perpetuating the problem. Construction accounts for 37% of greenhouse gas emissions. But carbon-negative and carbon-neutral materials, and circular economy approaches, are helping change that,” said Dr. Phoebe Barnard, Co-producer and science-policy advisor.
Bioforcetech is hosting an invite-only watch party on April 24, 2025. The media is invited to attend. Please email us for the invitation. The Climate Restorers will be available via global TV broadcasters and streaming channels in the coming months. Visit: www.theclimaterestorers.com.

About Bioforcetech
Bioforcetech is a U.S.-based innovator in biosolids management, specializing in transforming waste into carbon-negative solutions with a wide range of applications. The company uses biological drying and advanced patented pyrolysis technology to convert biosolids into OurCarbon, a sustainable biochar used in concrete mixes, inks, and other materials. Their process also addresses pressing environmental concerns, such as the reduction of PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” to undetectable levels. By aligning with circular economy principles and offering scalable solutions, Bioforcetech is at the forefront of waste management and sustainable material development, paving the way for impactful climate solutions. About OurCarbon
Divert Waste. Fix Carbon. Change Industry.
OurCarbon® is a sustainable, fixed-carbon material created from organic waste that would otherwise contribute to environmental harm. Made through Bioforcetech’s patented pyrolysis technology, OurCarbon diverts waste from landfills, transforms it at net-zero energy, and applies it in beneficial ways—preventing greenhouse gas emissions and reducing reliance on fossil fuel-based materials. OurCarbon is used to achieve low carbon structural concrete and replace petroleum-based black pigments in screen printing, polymers, paints, fabric dyes, and more. By repurposing waste into valuable materials, OurCarbon is pioneering a circular, climate-positive approach to sustainability.
