Music has a remarkable way of bringing people together. Across cultures, generations, and backgrounds, it creates shared experiences, inspires empathy, and reminds us of our common humanity. When the world often feels divided, the arts offer something indispensable: opportunities to connect, reflect, take action, and experience the world through different perspectives.

Betancourt Group believes creating a better world extends beyond environmental stewardship. It also means strengthening communities, expanding opportunities, and supporting cultural experiences that enrich our lives. This is why we are proud to support organizations like the Chamber Orchestra of New York, whose commitment to artistic excellence matches its dedication to cultivating future generations of classical music audiences.

Bringing Classical Music to New Generations

Founded in 2007, the Chamber Orchestra of New York quickly became a distinctive voice in the classical world. Under the baton of Music Director and Composer Salvatore Di Vittorio, the orchestra is committed to a program spanning classical and modern works, featuring new compositions, rediscovered masterworks, and film music.

Beyond the concert hall, the orchestra knows the future of classical music depends on making it accessible to new audiences.

Through its Maestro Juniors education program (launched in 2018), the orchestra delivers interactive music education and live performances to public schools in underserved areas of New York City, focusing on Title I schools. The program is free for schools and exposes students to works by classical composers, orchestral instruments, and conducting.

Early exposure to the arts encourages curiosity, creativity, and self-expression while opening doors to experiences children might not otherwise encounter. By introducing young people to classical music, the orchestra helps cultivate future audiences and a lifelong appreciation for artistic expression.

Celebrating History and Humanity Through Music

This commitment to connecting people through music continues as the Chamber Orchestra of New York celebrates its 19th season in honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary.

On Friday, November 20, 2026, the orchestra opens its Carnegie Hall season at Zankel Hall with Americus! Indiana Jones, Dvořák’s From the New World, and Barber with Aubree Oliverson.

The program, conducted by Salvatore Di Vittorio, features the world premiere of his newly commissioned composition, Americus, a musical reflection on American history, discovery, immigration, and the ideals of liberty. The performance is a good example of music’s power to tell a story, hold memory, and bring different experiences together in a shared space.

The Arts as a Force for Positive Social Impact

The value of music extends well beyond the performance itself. It lies in the connections we make, the perspectives we encounter, and the emotions we share.

Supporting the arts means providing people the opportunity to experience beauty, creativity, and connection. It ensures young people, no matter their background, can discover and engage with the arts.

For Betancourt Group, this is core to what positive social impact looks like. Creating a better world means nurturing not just the environment but also the creativity, compassion, and sense of community at the heart of being human.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the Chamber Orchestra of New York and the continuing power of music to inspire, connect, and enrich our communities.
